dlivrd Ranked No. 1 on the

Business Journal’s Fast 50 list!

We’re thrilled to announce that dlivrd has been named the No. 1 company on the Business Journal’s Fast 50 list for 2024! This recognition highlights the growth and innovation we’ve worked hard to achieve, and it’s a milestone we’re excited to share with our partners, clients, and drivers.

“I’ve been reflecting a lot on this journey. From the late nights, the countless conversations, and the times we wondered if I was really making a difference, moments like this remind us why we do what we do. But this isn’t just about numbers or growth; it’s about the incredible people behind it all.” Mentions Chris Heffernan, CEO of dlivrd.

The dlivrd Difference

Our approach has always been about finding smarter ways to solve delivery challenges. Instead of following the typical gig platform model, we focused on building a solution around pre-scheduled catering deliveries. Our AI-driven system, Frederick, optimizes deliveries by matching the appropriate order with the appropriate driver. Whether it’s factoring in vehicle size or ensuring orders are set up for success from the start.

Partnerships and People: The Backbone of dlivrd’s Growth

At dlivrd, our growth is fueled by strategic partnerships and a people-first approach. Collaborations with platforms like ezCater and Olo have expanded our reach to nearly 1,000 additional restaurants across the U.S. and Canada, supported by 10,000 drivers in 170 cities. Success at dlivrd isn’t solely about technology; it’s our dedicated team—customer support, internal staff, and drivers—that truly makes us unique.

We prioritize our team’s well-being by offering perks like free mental health services and encouraging participation in our Connect to Core program, where every team member experiences the delivery process firsthand. Our customer support team ensures smooth deliveries by providing real-time assistance to both restaurants and drivers. As CEO Chris Heffernan emphasizes, “Automate what you can, humanize what’s important,” a motto that drives our balance between tech-driven efficiency and personalized service.

Beyond business, we actively give back to the community by sponsoring charitable events and engaging in service initiatives. By blending innovation with a human touch, dlivrd continues to deliver exceptional service while expanding across 160 markets.

Adapting to Change and Innovating Along the Way

Like many companies, the pandemic brought its share of challenges. But instead of slowing down, we used this time to improve our tech and diversify our offerings. Expanding into e-commerce and meal kits allowed us to tap into new revenue streams and continue growing.

Our latest innovation is the launch of the new dlivrd app, which is 100% owned and developed entirely in-house. Designed with both drivers and clients in mind, the app offers an intuitive interface, real-time updates, and enhanced features for managing deliveries. This in-house creation ensures we have full control over the technology, making the entire process smoother—from order placement to final delivery—and empowering drivers with all the tools they need to perform at their best.

Empowering Drivers

A key part of what sets dlivrd apart is our commitment to making things easier for drivers. We believe in transparency, which is why drivers receive all the key information they need upfront—where to pick up, where to deliver, and what they’ll earn. With most orders being pre-scheduled, drivers working with the dlivrd app can plan ahead and work around their own schedules. This flexibility, paired with predictable earnings, makes for a more reliable and rewarding experience.

Looking Ahead

While we’re honored to have earned this top spot on the Fast 50 list, this is just the beginning. We’re committed to continuing our focus on quality, sustainability, and improving the experience for both our clients and drivers. By staying true to these values, we’re confident that dlivrd will keep delivering the same exceptional results.

We couldn’t have achieved this recognition without the support of our partners, drivers, and clients. Here’s to what comes next!
