We’re continuing our monthly series on our #dlivrddifferencemakers, featuring Irfan Qureshi!
Position: Director of Financial Analytics.
Hometown: Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!
How long have you been with dlivrd? Two weeks! I’ve known Chris (dlivrd Founder & CEO) since 2008, and have kept in touch with him over the years. Now our career paths have brought us back under one roof!
Expand upon your professional background: I worked in banking for 10 years in various roles, and ultimately left banking for the real estate/lending industry. At this point in my career, I wanted to integrate my wide variety of knowledge in both industries into my next role (which ended up being with dlivrd!). This is my first time with a start-up in my professional career, and I’m excited!
What is the most rewarding part of your role? My role of managing finances allows for our operations team to be laser-focused on ensuring that the #dlivrddifference is brought to life for all of our restaurant and earning partners alike!
What is your superpower? Efficiency! We’re here 8 hours a day and new tasks may get added on top of what we’re already anticipating for the day. Time management is something I work hard for, because you end up chasing your tail and not finishing tasks without a proper strategy in place. Additionally, it is important to be adaptable to new processes to reach an end goal in an efficient, yet quality manner that will ideally save time in the long run.
What does the #dlivrddifference mean to you? From the position of our restaurant partners, it means ensuring that we’ll get the job done, and that we have processes in place to make sure the clients are satisfied at the end of the day.
From the position of our Earning Partners, compared to our competitors, we put their needs higher than everything else by prioritizing that human connection. We also emphasize transparency with them, as well as offering additional benefits (like OA and affordable insurance coverage) and incentives for additional earning promotions on top of their everyday high-quality opportunities.
What is a quote you live by? “As a human being, you simply just have to treat other people well. Treat people with respect because it’s the right thing to do, not because you expect something in return.”
What is your favorite food or dish? Sushi, specifically shrimp tempura or ahi tuna!
